Language of Intuition

"When we have suppressed and closed off our feelings,
we cannot contact the universe within us."
Shakti Gawain

Wandering in mind numbing darkness, one ceases to hear tidbits of wisdom directed towards the healing process.  Our intuitive voice is silenced and we are flooded with fear, anger and loneliness. Life becomes tolerated, rather than celebrated.

It is when we remember to use our support system that we can move forward.  Whether we reach out to a mentor or drag our bodies to experience energy work, action begins the journey back towards the healing process.

As negative energy, (stemming from disconnect with higher self) dissipates, we begin to experience levels of transition through advanced insights.  Peace begins to return to our consciousness and intuition speaks the language we long to hear.

Intentional Insight and Intervention

"We always attract into our lives whatever we think about most,
believe most strongly,  expect on the deepest level,
and imagine most vividly."
Shakti Gawain

Life is an opportunity to learn, create, and experience.  Quality is less, however, if we do not take the time to reflect upon what we have learned, created and experienced.  To ponder what is before us without being triggered or stuck advances understanding of purpose.

If we are not open to messages serendipitously arriving, we will spend more time inquiring and less time propelling. If our vision is narrowed by previous experiences,  we will  miss extraordinary landscapes and views.  When we ignore reality, our growth is stunted.

When we experience life being a solid repeat of what we have struggled with over the years, it is time to step back and observe.  What action has been facilitated in the past, or not taken at all?  What can we do differently or mentally release for a full-filling existence? We must become the intervention we have mistakenly been waiting for.

The Power of Voice

"As we practice stating our feelings and needs directly,
the need to manipulate falls away and we begin to feel our inherent power."
Shakti Gawain

When we do not value our lovely selves, we have a difficult time asking for things or expressing our feelings.  If we do not feel worthy, we hide what we want behind cloaked statements.  We try to manipulate a person or situation into making us happy when we have not made our intentions clear.

In time, we begin to hear our own voice and eventually we begin to project it.  We are often met with rejection, but the power in using our words makes us stronger.  Uttering our true thoughts can make us understand our personal value whether or not others respond.

As all things, using our voice is a process.  First we must determine what is truly in our heart.  Then we choose the words to frame the projection out into the world.  We continue to move forward, revealing more of our inner strength until finally we are heard!

Inside Support

"I accept both the masculine and
feminine energies within me; I feel whole."
Shakti Gawain

Shirley MacLaine somehow swooped into my life with her outspoken views and authentic non-fiction books.  I remember in my ignorance thinking I could only have such freedom of speech if I lived in California!  I've come a long way baby!

The concept of having both male and female qualities were very significant in broadening aspects of myself.  I had always felt the need to be strong (masculine) hiding emotional sensations (feminine).  With new information, I was able to let my boundaries alternate between the two powers.  The revelation increased my identity with self.

Today I was reading how our masculine should "support" our feminine side.  From early on, I  had thought, literally, men would support women. Now, I understand that all the support I need comes from inside, from my masculine side, not from a man. This creates the wholeness with both masculine and feminine stepping up when support is needed.

Two Places, Not One

"I am grounded and centered."
Shakti Gawain
REFLECTIONS IN THE LIGHT

To be completely still in mind, body and spirit can be a blissful experience.  It is having the ability to be aware of the self and yet not feel the confines of the body.  One can imagine color and energy both pushing upwards and downwards, intermingling.  Earth energy spiraling upwards connects us with our physical and the Sacred energy pouring into the top of our heads is a swishing golden light.  Our spine is our core enlightened, healed, and strengthened.

With both feet upon the ground, we are held steady as our minds expand beyond the human experience.  We can visit other realms while standing still.  If and when we are able to sustain the sensation of being a conduit between above and below, we will understand the words grounded and centered.

Shed any self-conscious thoughts and allow the physical body to be attached to earth whether sitting, standing or lying down.  There is no need to be upon a mountain top or whisked away to a spiritual retreat, to experience the fullness of life.  Drop all expectations and any sense of right or wrong. Be comfortable and close both eyes.  Through prayer or visualization beckon to be one with all.

Get Out of Your Way!

"By accepting and loving your self,
you will be willing and able to accept
the best that life has to offer you."
Shakti Gawain

One of the best messages I have ever received, more than once, is simply 'to get out of your own way'.  It seems as though I have been my grandest boulder, hurdle, nemesis to any sense of value.  Eventually, I was able to recall certain elements of my life and gather some granules of self-appreciation; however, it is one thing to accept the self and quite another to believe some one else will as well.

As the acceptance of self expands, profound light enters and shines upon differing definitions of love.  The one that emphasizes loving without any expectations of perfection, resonates within me.  If I can love myself just as I am, releases the pressure of being perfect.  After all, it would seem I can do this with others, why not my self?

Erasing parameters of perfection, withdrawing my energy from judgment, I was propelled forward into areas of my inner life.  Once I could embrace these unexpected parts of self, I was able to turn around and shine my light back out into our world. I now thrive on my intention of blending light out to those still lingering in darkness.

Mysteries Unfold

"Change happens not by trying to make yourself change,
but by being conscious of what's not working."
Shakti Gawain

Children are wonderful teachers.  With great creativity and sensitivity, we attempt to explain the wonders of life such as birth, aging, and dying.  Setting a theatrical stage and utilizing a voice filled with drama we spin our tails.  When it all ends and the curtain comes down, the innocent looks up to us and says, "What did you say?"

The reverse happens as well. In the presence of a child, he or she shares inner thoughts.  The child points to the beams of sunshine penetrating through the clouds while saying, "Look! God is talking to His people!" (Truth)

The point of course, is that we can learn something every minute of our waking day and every dreamscape of our night.  The human beings surrounding us and the higher guides in our midst, endless insights unfold for our enlightenment.  The key, however, is that we must be paying attention.  It is with alertness that mysteries unfold.
