Glorious Face

Tear off the mask, your face is glorious!"
Rumi

At times, we are saddled with pain, but we are not meant to be stuck in it. Misfortune presents itself so that we can discover and explore our strengths. It is our inner war and we are called to cease fine ... not give in to it. When we stop projecting who we think we aught to be, and fully embrace our beautiful inner spirit, life changes.

Delving into newly discovered information and encouraging pilgrimages inward, we are called to action.  Application of what aligns with our soul enhances our beauty which then shines outward. Our rekindled enthusiasm draws others to us, validating our unique skills and attributes.

Read the book, study the material, and put it into practice. Give the self permission to exceed someone else's limited belief of us. As one moves forward, energy builds and our true nature is exposed. If not appreciated, we must find new acquaintances by altering our community of friends. Shine, for you truly are glorious!

The Great Escape

"The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don't go back to sleep ..."
Rumi

The cycle of life continues to repeat itself and presents in differing ways. We are often immeshed into a situation before it dawns upon us that it is a repeat of an old lesson.  We react with self criticism for not catching on sooner or for not recognizing our own pattern.

To wake up to the realities of life matures the mindset and stirs the soul, but there is no guarantee of not stumbling or falling into a pit once again.  Life is a spiral after all, and our path is circular.  We will awaken only to fall asleep yet once again.

It is difficult to stay awake and calm while chaos knows no boundaries.  It is so tempting to shut down and withdraw which is the worst choice we can make.  While our emotions circulate like water spinning down a drain, we dig deeply for memory of our resilience and persistence.  So when the breeze softly nudges the side of the face, pause for the meaning.  Be on the look out for waking dreams as falling asleep is the great escape.

Suffering Optional

"The wound is the place where the light enters you."
Jalaluddin Rumi

If we have the perspective of challenge being an opportunity to grow, we can minimize the suffering. We immediately alert ourselves there is a lesson here and begin to solve the puzzle.  If we ask, "What am I to learn?" we immediately focus on correction.    If we ask, "Why is this happening to me?" we become stuck in emotional suffering and pain.

When we explore beyond the incident itself, we begin to see a larger picture.  There are insightful triggers waiting in the broader landscape.  Knowledge leads us towards wisdom and much can be gained, rather than focusing on the pain.

When we become broken, there is a crack for light to shine in illuminating the darkness.  The warmth of the light initiates healing and our strength begins to build.  As we grow stronger, the light extends  to help us find our way.
