The Dark Heart

"Wherever you go, go with all your heart."
Confucius

Advice surrounds me, gathered from mentors, reading material, prayer, and meditation. For quite some time, I have been refurbishing my heart. I have used healing light, music, silence and quiet footing on isolated pathways. I blend all of this energy into an invisible potion hoping it will heal my scars and alleviate my tears.

There is a belief of mine, that we are all loving and kind. Integrity is vitally important for me, and I falsely assume everyone is a truth teller. I find myself motivated by curiosity into diverse existences where I choose to bring compassion for those traveling with sorrow. I do not realize I am seeing their 'higher self' and not the person damaged by pain.

Moving forward, I choose a life of love. I will try to be more aware of deception, but there is beauty in every remarkable scene. My vision has cleared, my path rerouted, and my light is brighter than ever. With every breath I am grateful for the past, the present, and for awaits ahead. I am safe and strong, and no one else gets to be me.

Give Me A Boost!

"When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached,
don't adjust the goals adjust the action steps."
Confucius

Every once in awhile, all of us could use a boost, but we become hesitant to ask. Perhaps, we do not like to admit that we are needing help. Maybe we have a strong need to be private, but ultimately realize we can not do this alone. There comes a time when we need to revamp our plans and adjust our thinking.

With courage we can move forward. We can repeat mantras to support our vision and be resilient in our adaptation. Tuning down opinions of others can assist in streamlining our focus. Eliminating resources that no longer support us forward, we create room for new input for creative thinking to propel us forward.

Discernment is often times needed, but opening our goals with others can bring in new direction and adjustment. Sorting through conversations and resources, we can regroup and design a new approach. When we are open and flexible while asking for help, progression increases and we draw closer to achievement.

Stimulation

"It does not matter how slowly you go
as long as you do not stop."
Confucius

To constantly analyze thoughts and deeds, one can grow exhausted. It is imperative, however, to recognize stories we tell ourselves in order to adjust and heal. Negative patterns cannot be altered if they are never recognized.  In order to move forward in life, one must be willing to leave a limited pathway.

Even with a willingness to change routines, one can become discouraged without opening to new connections. Whether physical or spiritual in nature, we need to gather new information in order to shift perceptions. Surrounding the self with others who no longer stimulate, we can experience the sense of being cloistered.

If running from reality, we must stop. If stuck in stagnant stories, we must begin to create new scenarios. We will not grow if we do not feed our soul by using nurturing resources. We can change our prayers or implement a different spiritual practice. We have choice, so we need to keep placing one foot in front of the other.

The Beauty of the Moment

"Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it."
Confucius

We are drawn to a particular form of beauty, touching our body, mind and soul.  The image is carried with us for endless days, and never diminishes in luster, shape or meaning.  We do not even bother to ask our companion, "Did you see that?"  We already know the magical display was for our eyes only.

Deep in the reservoirs of our minds, there are crevices filled with illustrious images extracting our  attention for no apparent reason.  We are perhaps touched by color or object, but the real draw comes from what is left unsaid.

There is a certain glint in the eyes of a child or the tilt of the head of a beloved pet.  Perhaps a brief glimpse of an image not really there or a voice so rare hair stands on the back of the neck.  These translucent times are followed by a silence, allowing time to digest the experience, knowing no one else has seen the beauty of the moment.
