"I can do this!"

"Accept the past as the past and realize that each new day
you are a new person who doesn't need to carry old
baggage into the new day with you."
Alaric Hutchinson

Reality was distorted by fear. Instead of hearing what was said in the context it was meant, I heard words twisted by association with my past. Rather than staying in the moment, I spiraled back into years of festering old wounds. Thank goodness for the dawning of a new day, leaving guilt and shame behind.

Every step of the way, I have choice as to how I translate my living experience. I can decide if I want to do a physical knee jerk reaction, get stuck in my negative mindset, or spiritually remember why I am really here. Replacing the sense of judgment with recognizing a lesson at hand, I can learn and move forward.

We have the ability to discern how difficult the lesson needs to be.  We can gather courage and face turmoil head on or we can wallow in  engulfing misery. Replacing thoughts of past failures with memories of my courageous survivals new strength unfolds. "I can do this," I tell my warrior self. Thus, I proceed into a new day.

Unless We Blow It!

"Isn't it funny how we make rational excuses
for being out of alignment?"
Alaric Hutchinson

Our creativity shines when we master the ability to react to pain or suffering with the castings of ego.  We can make excuses, blame others, sink deeper and it is all by choice.  If I can remain positive with myself in spite of the virus, the isolation, and challenges of life, a level of peace can be maintained.

Our journey is not meant to reflect a roller coaster ride, but rather a flowing line of moving forward whether we are faced with pleasure or pain.  The idea is to calm our ego from taking on extremes in either directions.  Remain centered, enjoying or learning from the moment while understanding there is another moment approaching.

We continuously let ourselves off the hook of responsibility by creating drama that only intensifies the immediate situation.  It is like adding fuel to the fire.  If we can imagine a candle with a steady flame, this is what we can reflect.  Yes, a breeze will pass through and the flame will waver, but seldom will it go entirely out ... unless we blow it!

Snagged in Muck, Action Propels

"Harmony is our natural state of being, and so, when our energies
become too stagnant, chaos is thrown into the mix to stimulate
what will eventually result in balance and invite flow."
Alaric Hutchinson

It is easy to get sucked up in the drama of life.  A rush of energy pushes us down the path chasing the answer to dilemma.  If resolve is not apparent, we get snagged in the muck of speculation.  Action is what will propel us back into a normal flow.

Balanced energy allows us to equally distribute attention when and where needed.  Our minds are as coherent as our bodies are stable.  This intentionally created harmony, we rest and renew our entire self ... body, mind and soul.

Harmony does not remain balanced indefinitely, but having a strong sense of it, we can navigate through challenge much easier.  We must be aware of our choice as to where to place our intentions.  The sense of harmony can help us refrain from straying too far, and maintain the desire to return to wholeness.
