Obliteration of Our Nest

"As lovely as awakening may sound, it often means the
complete obliteration of life as you knew it."
Toko-pa Turner

If we are living a life that is not supporting personal growth and healthy relationships, our desire might be to change.  We don't realize, however, no matter how dysfunctional our current life style may be, it is what we are used to.  It may be inadequate, but it is a sense of  comfort as we know all components.  When we think of change, nothing remains the same.

In order to reach the change we desire, we first must discard debris that is no longer needed.  We may have to detach from some people or places that may not be bad, but are not supportive or moving us forward.  These attachments hold us in place and there needs to be open spaces for the new to arrive.

There is a span of time between letting go and receiving the new.  It is unidentified and therefore may be frightening.  We may feel extreme discomfort or fear the unknown.  When we place our faith in the direction we have been called,  we continue to move forward as goodness begins to gather.

Nothing is Insignificant

"The practice above all practices is to relinquish the immature desire
to be taken care of in false belonging and parent our own originality."
Toko-pa Turner

As we delve into the history of our ancestors we gain insight and knowledge about life sacrifices and challenges every generation is called to make.  Whether diseases or family developments or financial failings, experiencing the human life form encounters similarities.

Each generation may grow smarter, but the gained intelligence is not always used for the best of humanity.  Lessons are repeated to differing degrees, and patterns can be detected throughout all of history.

If we become accountable for ourselves and offer our unique skill to the betterment of living a peaceful life, things just might change or sadly, create just an undercurrent.  What  is your strength and how do you make individual contributions to the betterment of all living  humans?  As a member of the human race, find a piece of your lovely self to offer to your community in this time and space, no matter how tiny ... nothing is insignificant.

I Don't Know What Got Into Me ...

"We must find the place within where things have been muted and give
that a voice.  Until those things are spoken, no truth can find its way forward."
Toko-pa Turner

Repressed emotions discolor our perspectives and alter our responses.  This creates disharmony with our thoughts, actions and deeds.  Feelings we hold in become a stock pile and the smallest trigger can unleash old garbage full force at an inappropriate moment.

Unresolved emotional pain from the past can cause us to heighten our boundaries to keep our selves protected from future harm. This sounds like a good intention, but the wall we build keep out the good experiences as well as harmful. When a scenario repeats itself, we may project reactions from the past upon the present which may be entirely wrong. This disallows us from growing whole.

When we remain balanced through awareness of the life surrounding us, we feel a stronger connection with our lovely selves and with others.  When our body, mind. and spirit are aligned, we do not simply react, we make better choices and face challenge from a healthier viewpoint.  We are less likely to make statements such as:  I don't know what got into me..."
