Black Sheep

"The black sheep are the artists, visionaries, and healers of our
culture because they are the ones willing to call into question
those places which feel stale, obsolete or without integrity."
Toko-pa Turner

The black sheep stirs up wisdom followed by introspection. New information creates curiosity which leads to separation from others. Old beliefs are eliminated, making way for a more sacred reverence for living. These eliminations make room for a healthy body, mind and spirit.

Surveying alone, the black sheep eventually is led to a new level of healing. With greater understanding, one begins to articulate what has been buried beneath unsubstantiated beliefs. Breathing becomes a balanced flow regardless of disagreements or exclusion. Chaos is far less likely to disturb this way of living.

The black sheep frequently uses creativity to further illustrate new found ways of perceiving life. Using self-expression, the boring rhetoric of mainstream thinking is diminished.  Recapturing the magic of living, there is a sense of finally loving the self and no longer willing to walk within the stagnant maze.

The World Behind The World

"The old cultures used to be in constant conversation with the
world behind this world, through the sacred practices of
storytelling, dreaming, ceremony, and song."
Toko-pa Turner

As loneliness settles in, we have choice to turn to personal communication with the 'other side' or fall into depths of despair. The simple gesture of reaching out through prayer or meditation, instantly lessens feelings of isolation.

We are caught in our minds, dwelling on competition, materialism, and status quo. It is when we turn to our true nature of simply being present with peace and opening safe passages with other realms, that the gap is filled.

Through intuition and spiritual awareness, we reclaim our authentic selves. We begin to focus on what is most important to us: values, insights, and intended purpose. Our hearts fill with loving kindness which attracts inspiration, mystery, and intervention with beauty.

Paint Surroundings

"There is really only one way to restore a world that is dying
and in disrepair: to make beauty where ugliness has set in."
Toko-pa Turner

When we take our individual gift and apply it in unique ways, we create beauty in the world.  If a friend is grieving, and we are silently present, we help lift the darkness of sorrow.  If we can assist an elder in need in our own unique way, they feel seen.  Both gestures bring beauty into life.

It is through giving that the world can become a better place.  Within our own life experiences, there are endless opportunities to bring living color to floundering drab hues.  By offering numerous small gestures, we are assisting the world to shift and heal.

There is beauty in the act of giving whether we are picking up random debris or admiring a tree.  As we view the world through eyes of love, and utilize authentic gifts, we paint our surroundings with beauty.

Never Ending Gift

"Like a tree whose roots are hidden in the rich
darkness of the soil, human beings are meant
to take our cues from our inner life."
Toko-pa Turner

Trees are amazing in that they are a never ending gift.  Recall Shel Silverstein's book THE GIVING TREE and we will be reminded of the span of offerings given by this beautiful segment of nature.

Trees offer us esthetic inspiration and physical products, but amazing is the root systems offering connection while feeding other trees under ground.  As human beings, we are much the same.  We offer what we produce, we can be esthetically pleasing, and our root system expands over present and past timelines.

We do our lovely selves an injustice by not discovering, excavating, and honoring the wisdom we contain within.  Each one of us is a vessel intended to connect with our authenticity, perpetuate messages from the collective past, and to revere the communication generously extended by the Divine.  By operating from our inner life wisdom, we become a never ending gift.
