Closing Circles

"It is always important to know when something had reached its end.
Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters, it doesn't matter
what we call it, what matters is to leave the in the past
those moments in life that are over."
Paulo Coelho

It is uncomfortable when we begin to realize that something has run its course. Whether in a circle of friends, at work, or within the realm of family. We may know change is needed, buy we restrict ourselves by thinking perhaps we are being mean or selfish or quite simply wrong about our perceptions.

When we do not take action based upon our inner conflict, situations will increase in the negative. At times, it may feel as though we are pushed until we finally snap. This may lead to being pulled out of our innate nature and acting out of character. This alone is the incentive to follow through with peaceful and positive action.

If we acknowledge our inner feelings with compassion, it increases our chances for personal growth and new discovery. When we remember that we are forever changing, and needing new scenarios, it becomes easier to move forward. When we honor our inner observations, our actions will remain aligned with compassion and integrity.

Barrel Forward .... Leap!

"Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters,
it doesn't matter what we call it; what matters is to
leave in the past those moments in life that are over."
Paulo Coelho

There is a picture of a woman standing at the top of a cliff with one foot extended, and beneath the picture is the word, "Leap!"  It was posted in a self-help book, but even today it best describes transition.

We have been pressured so greatly from our past, we have recognized the need to move forward.  As we stand at the top of the cliff, there is nothing familiar surrounding us.  We want to step forward but there is nothing but air beneath our extended foot.  We can look for miles and see nothing concrete to bridge us to our new way of living.

Transition is much easier if we have a sketchy plan, a slim wisp of insight, or a safety net beneath us, but that rarely happens.  We must gather our faith in God providing us with new chances, believe there will be kind people to befriend us, and self-confidence to begin life once again.  When we finally let go and leap, we may have bruised knees and scraped elbows, but our energy is concentrated barreling forward.

Hands Open for Expectations

"Because he believes in miracles, miracles begin to happen.
Because he is sure that his thoughts can change his life,
his life begins to change.  Because he is certain that he
will find love, love appears."
Paulo Coelho
Warrior of Light

Paulo Coelho wrote a small book entitled, THE WARRIOR OF LIGHT.  I have always considered it to be a small guidebook with significant uplifting passages that encourage the reader to  journey a bit farther, even when discouraged.  There are reminders of who we are and what we are searching.

Every human being is on a journey and no matter the physical content, the emotional challenges and the heart renderings are present.  We are all stretched and pulled, shaping us into higher realms for deeper understandings.  The trick of course, is to remain faithful to our own journey and not become distracted or gravitate towards the goals of others.

There are always kind spirits on the way side, willing to encourage or listen as we begin to stumble.  They do not have personal agendas other than to be good stewards to those who cross their paths.  To be totally focused on our destination disallows experiences with those who wish to deepen our experience.  Balance is maintained when we are mindful of where we place our feet, but to have open hands to catch the fragrant flowers falling from the trees.
