Uncharted Horizon

"An infinite horizon is like a strong current in the sea;
it drags you to unknown places before you even notice it!"
Mehmet Murat ildan

As life can be so overwhelming, we can benefit from falling into the infinite horizon by loosening our focus. Just as we learn to let go, we can be pulled by a strong current of wonderment and be refreshed. The body begins to feel like a vessel floating in still waters.

Imagine a clean palette without an image or one drop of paint and a piece of pottery holding ample brushes.  Infinite tubes of colors are stretched across the table waiting to be blended.  Our assignment is to ignore all shades of the past or projected futuristic tones, and create upon this palette what surfaces from the infinite horizon as the vessel in still waters

If we can adjust our focus and deregulate routine, we begin to witness  things we had not yet seen.  If we don't listen quite so closely, it may be easier to catch wisps of wisdom hidden in mindless chatter. As we learn to lessen our expectations, we can enjoy smaller miracles unfolding along the way.  Be willing to float into the uncharted horizon.

Surface in Memory

"Every time the long-forgotten people of the past
are remembered, they are born again!"
Mehmet Murat ildan

Many of us are determined to leave a mark on life to be remembered well passed our life time.  A street named after us, a college hall, scholarship or discovery might just do the trick for some.  There are those who sadly believe no one will remember them.  Some simply do not care and are generally remembered as an arse.

If we sincerely want to make an impression upon those we leave behind, one must discover an authentic strength about themselves and generously share it with others.  Life calls us to be present for ourselves and for others.  Share our gift and honor the present/presence of others.

There is no greater gift to the world than offering ourselves as willing participants in life as it unfolds.  We are not all rocket scientists or wealthy benefactors, but if we are kind, respectful, and compassionate, there will be those who we do not even know who will see us in memory long after we are gone.

Choose Love Over Violence

"If you are looking at anything from one point, from one angle,
you can never attain wisdom because wisdom is to see all the
things from every point, from every angle."
Mehmet Murat ildan

This planet is populated by diverse individuals who  need to be loved, heard and seen.  We are called to respect diversity without the need to punish or destroy.     I abhor violence of any kind and I continue to pray for the innocents who get maimed or tortured o turned away.

When Mother Nature reacts to the careless pollution, the drilling, or the endless acts of dishonor to this earth by man, I do understand her anger.  Mother Nature uses the weather to catch our attention regarding the needs of others, the needs for our earth, and to broaden our opportunities to practice oneness.

I believe our hearts are strong enough to embrace others with compassion even if we do not understand their path.  Families can rejoin and embrace;  neighbors can be introduced and respected; and individuals will not be lost in such darkness causing them to turn to hatred.  Let us pool our wisdom, broaden our perspectives and live in love, not violence.
