Released

"And when we bring what is within us out into the world, miracles happen."                      Henry David Thoreau

Within each one of us resides wisdom. We may not have magnificent brain function, but not all revelations come from superior intelligence. Inside of each one of us, we have seeds of insight waiting to be cultivated. There are numerous ways for ideas to enter our subconscious, and it is our decision to share that furthers dreams.

When random thoughts are shared with others, we have no idea how they will grow either inside our realm or outside on a different horizon. Like a gardener cultivates all seeds, not just one, all thoughts need our attention. Just as flowers form a bouquet, gathered ideas can shape a new reality.

It is important to carry our ideas into a broader arena. Whether we are verbalizing, writing or creating art, tiny glimpses can become extraordinary contributions. In this way, we honor not only ourselves, but the higher source of giving. Placing gestures outside of ourselves, enhances our sense of connection.

Eruption as a Segment

"It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see."
Henry David Thoreau

Misery leads to suffering, but we have the ability to choose between a moment of reflection or an overwhelming status of pain. When we realize the presence of hurt, an expansive inventory can rebalance the emotions and define intended resolution.

There is danger in allowing a small disruption to flow into all aspects of life limiting our thoughts of containment. This eruption is a segment of life, not the total essence of our life. Capsulize the situation, using the remainder of our energy to seek a path of removal or healing.

Narrow focus extends our sense of victimhood. Feeling less empowered, we are trapped. When we broaden our view, new possibilities become apparent. Yes, a situation maybe horrible, but it is not meant to limit the human experience. Step beyond the immediate emotion using new eyes.

Being The Best

"We must learn to reawaken and keep ourselves awake,
not by mechanical aid, but by infinite expectation of the dawn."
Henry David Thoreau

In the spring, I feel myself tight and constricted, testing how best to protect my inner dreams and aspirations. Slowly my sense of safety allows my leaves to uncurl. Pushing outward my beauty unfolds. Summer allows deep growth in spite of harsh heat to the soul. And now it is fall. I love the coloration, but saddened by the faltering breaths. Winter will be a time of rest.

The phases of nature can run parallel to self-discovery and spiritual growth. No matter the season, as humans, we are called to be deep rooted while stretching to reach full potential. This process is not error free and it is impossible to dodge the subterfuge of others. It is in the recall of remembering our choice and fueling our soul.

We shift in acceleration, allowing time to rest and restore; but, we must never remain stiff and slow. We are here to experience and to live fully no matter how change bombards us. If we don't know who we are, explore with heightened adventure. If there is a sense of who we are meant to be, then by all means,  endeavor to be the best we can be.

Yearnings and Passion

"The world is but a canvas to our imagination."
Henry David Thoreau

As the sprinkler rotates, I watch the water splash upon the thirsty grass.  Round and round the water sprays with intention to nurturing the earth.  The patch of green earth is unaware of the source from which water falls.

This creates a reflection of how the heavens above offer blessings to us, hoping to nurture and stimulate.  When we cast our eyes willingly to the never ending sky, the clouds are like prompts simply passing by.   It is in the lifting of our eyes, that we begin to see.

Rather than fill our hearts with yearnings, we can gather aspects of what exists.  We are surrounded by nature offering both lessons and teachers.  As we open our hearts and embrace both raindrops and sunbeams, our passion and simple understanding expands.

Smorgasbord of Diverse Talents

"It's not what you look at that matters,
it's what you see." Henry David Thoreau

We close our eyes in contemplation, visualizing a mentor to educate us on our darkened path.  We yearn for wisdom to slip into our dreams providing concrete directions to arrive on the other side of the illusion of fear.  In the meantime, we lightly gaze upon those who gather around us, overlooking the available  wisdom right before us.

There is no one exceptional who is going to rescue us from our own destination.  As we learn to value ourselves, we begin to recognize the value residing in others. We have something to mirror or reflect to each other once we deliberately look and listen for the knowledge.  Relationships are not meant to be a contest, but a smorgasbord of diverse talents and gifts to be shared with all.

When we experience a reverence for all of life, we begin to joyfully admire the successes of others.  If we broaden our view, looking beyond the mistakes a person has made, we discover a land of opportunity.  We see the depth in the hearts of others and our wisdom multiplies.
