If Wisdom Were A Bird ...

"See for yourself what brings contentment, clarity and peace."
Gautama Buddha

A single nugget of wisdom drops into our mind, and our body responds with resonance. We awaken to possibility and excitement. Then our mind begins to swirl and doubt introduces itself. The brilliance becomes tarnished and our energy becomes diverted. Eventually, there is no room for the survival of original thought.

Our mind fills with such chaotic chatter, especially when we prematurely share the wisdom with others. We may find ourselves overwhelmed by these outside opinions which lead us even farther from original intentions. We neglect to listen to our own heart to recapture the initial moment.

We are regularly flooded with inspiration from various resources. All of our senses are impacted, but too often we simply are not paying attention. Brilliance is snuffed out prior to its time to shine. If wisdom were a bird, it would sit upon our head waiting for the monkey mind to eliminate the criticisms and allow dreams, visions, and gifts to flow.

Slither No More ...

"Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past over and over again."
Gautama Buddha

The nine-year cycle of the snake is ending and shedding our skin can at first be painful but eventually exhilarating. With unnecessary baggage cleansed away, there is overwhelming freedom found in freshly surfaced energy. No longer obsessed with situations not aligning, we turn to new scenarios that will enhance our earthly experience.

One reconnects with the soul and the desire to balance energies. We turn inward, as we silence our surroundings and embrace the divine within. As we welcome bright healing light into our being, centered inner strength confirms our forward movement. We experience the 'knowing' that we are not advancing alone.

Moving forward, needs are to be aligned with our honest intentions and newly formed boundaries. Respecting our new surge of power, clarity must be maintained, resisting fear that distorts reality. We are entering a new nine-year cycle of the horse, so no more slithering! We must place each foot carefully as our pace is going to increase!

Ain't No Pollyanna

"Conquer the angry one by by not getting angry;
conquer the wicked by goodness;
conquer the stingy by generosity;
and the liar by telling the truth."
Gautama Buddha

Earlier on my spiritual journey, it was indeed challenging to give up long revered doctrines in order to expand what I then found as truth.  As I carefully tread through documented research and recordings from ancient scribes, my view of the world, humans, and purpose was reluctantly altered.

During this early period, I maintained one wish ...  that all I believed was true.  I comforted my lovely self by believing God had given me a brain and until I heard differently, I would continue to increase my knowledge.  I began to understand worldly cultures and the beliefs they held true.  It wasn't a matter of right or wrong, but to eliminate my ignorance by broadening perspective.

In later years, I would not have any trouble relying on my adjusted belief system; but collective  reality sometimes triggered my fears.  It was during these times I felt like a Pollyanna focusing on good only.  Even that gave way with my sense of moving through chaos or darkness guided by light.  I am centered on my purpose of kindness allowing others to do the same.
