Ever Ready Presence

"Patience is not passive, on the contrary,
it is concentrated strength."
Bruce Lee

Throughout life, trees have been a symbol of patience and strength. They withstand brutal weather, gently release decorative leafs and bury roots deeply into the ground. This root system feeds neighboring trees that are in need. Science is also documenting how trees communicate with each other.

What patience trees must have to stand so tall throughout the years. They are impacted by altered climates, faulty air, and carelessness of human beings. I believe Sid Silverstein's book, The Giving Tree best describes the life of a tree. Too often we take for granted all of the gifts freely offered by various species of trees.

Trees offer the example of resilience, and calm without clarity.   They offer shade and allow  humans to climb high for higher views. There is great energy exchanged when someone leans against the trunk to read, write, or simply be. Trees are sturdy companions with an ever ready presence. They are a remarkable gift from God.

Emotional Dams

"Empty your mind, be formless,
shapeless like water."
Bruce Lee

Astrologically, I have a double dose of water topped by the vibes of the moon.  And you ask why I am so emotional?  My sensitivity runs so high and deep, I am easily pulled into the ocean ... me, just a simple droplet.

Ideally, I can flow in water, refraining from the building of any emotional dams.  I can navigate calmly, running smoothly around curves or narrowing streams.  I am able to float while I await clarity and singular definition waiting for the muck to settle.

I am but a raindrop, falling from the sky, splashing into the width and depth of life.  As I cascade downwards, I blend with the sorrows of many and contract from those struck numb by thunderbolts.  While I descend, perceptions ebb and flow.  The ocean pulls me safely in, and I expand into the oneness of all.

Have No Fear

"Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water.
Be water, my friend."
Bruce Lee

It seems natural to leave my physical body.  Whether it is in a dream, during meditation, or under the master hands of an energy worker, it seems perfectly normal to escape into other realms.  I suppose years ago, I may have been somewhat frightened and then perhaps awkward, but now I immediately look for the gateway.

Life is experienced in various ways and with our ability to create we can become formless.  In our imagination, we can shape shift into a sun beam, a weeping willow tree or droplets of rain.  When we give our lovely selves permission to explore, we can be swept into other realms.

When we experience this otherness, memories tend to dissipate with details immediately fading.  So perhaps what we are to remember is not particulars, but the essence of the experience.  Once we are able to become like water,  we have a deeper understanding of letting go, releasing, and trusting in the flow of life.  The mind allows only what we are ready for, so have no fear.
