Happiness is always there. You just have to choose
to see it. There's no point dwelling in the dark
and ignoring the light of the stars."
Carrie Hope Fletcher
The pressure from Thanksgiving Day may be dissipating. Perhaps we have returned home or company has departed or everyone is running around doing their own thing. Either way, how about our individual selves? Are we maintaining the joy from the holiday or trapped in unmet expectations. Remember, we choose how we feel.
Many of us will be unpacking boxes of Christmas decorations, willingly moving forward into the approaching season. Again we will be visited by ghosts from the past and visualizing new images of what may come. Either way, find time to hold our hearts and fill them with thoughts of whatever brings us joy.
When night falls, stand close to a window or brave the cold winds stepping outside. Look up to the sky and humbly ask for positive energy and the sense of well being. We truly are not alone unless we choose to be. Our healthy connection with the self bolsters our drive for better living. Embrace the blessings dripping from the stars above.
