Transition With May

"All things seem possible in May."
Edwin Way Teale

May tends to be a chaotic month filled with graduations; weddings; ceremonies; and special days like Mother's Day.  Even if we switch our focus towards self indulgent play there are errands to the nursery, Lowe's, and local farmer markets.  We get busy preparing the soil for gardens and dig out pots and planters.  It is the time we wash and spray lawn furniture and secure the bird feeders from the pesky squirrels.

May brings more sunshine to our lengthening days of light.   It allows me to take a deep sigh certain that Spring truly is here to stay.  I switch my boots to sandals, leggings to capris, and hearty soups to delicious salads.  My physical body feels drawn to movement ... riding the bike or walking in the nearby park or engaging with the neighbors across the fence.

Most importantly, May brings sunshine to my emotions, healing whatever lingers from winter's captivity.  It brings gentle rain showers so I can sit on the porch and feel connected to the cleansing of all things.  As flowers push up through the ground, I too, gather extra energy to embrace the world with its beauty, perfection, and amazing grace.  New words blossom creating hope and joy, and I find myself yearning to make a greater difference to myself as well as others.  Each of us in our glowing  spring color help to form a worldly peaceful  bouquet.
