There is no question but these people have brought the Light through the long ages and they prove by their daily life and works that this light does exist just as it did thousands of years ago.
~Baird T. Spalding, Author
(1857 - 1953)
LIFE AND TEACHING OF THE MASTERS OF THE FAR EAST was written by author, Baird T. Spalding in 1924. I have been reading his first volume, but there are six in total. He was a legend during the first half of the 20th Century introducing Masters and Elder Brothers from the Far East who assist and guide the destiny of mankind.
LIFE AND TEACHING OF THE MASTERS OF THE FAR EAST, Volume 1 discloses events of an American research party of eleven during a visit to the Far East in 1894. During this three and a half year visit, the men were in contact with the Great Masters of the Himalayas who assisted in the translation of records. The visitors were welcomed into the Masters daily routine to experience their works. Their visits extended to India, Tibet, China, and Persia.
"The Masters accept that Buddha represents the Way to Enlightenment, but they clearly set forth that Christ is Enlightenment or a state of consciousness for which we are all seeking ~ the Christ light of every individual." (Baird T. Spalding)
The writings in this book intrigue me as they are in alignment with much of what is being written today. There is great use of the term 'light' which totally resonates within me, as it should all of us. Whatever name we want to assign to our divinity, the word light is simply a synonym. Each of us carry God within us as all things living and non-living contain this very light or God. We hold a spark or light of divinity within us.
No matter which language we interpret or what resources we base our belief system upon, we are all children of God. If we explore ancient transcripts, teaching of prophets, or read poetry from other eras, the message is the same: we are all brothers and sisters, harm no one, and love each other.
The message is simple. Man tries to become organized and regulates with structure. The simple message is lost in the unnecessary complexity.
This simple message becomes challenging when we live in a fear based society where we don't even know how to love our self and appreciate our own inner light. If we do not maintain an inner sense of empowerment (not power over others), we will always feel threatened by anything outside of our selves. By getting in touch or connecting with the Spirit dwelling within us, we can expand to our full potential.
